Automatic closure of a campaign after a defined period of time

Mailocator allows you to set the campaign to close automatically after a defined period of time if the user does not interact with the campaign in any way (e.g., does not click inside or start filling out the form). The goal is to prevent the campaign from remaining on the screen for too long and causing distraction.

Optionally, you can enable the display of a remaining time indicator during the countdown. This indicator always has the same appearance – a narrow blue bar at the top of the campaign that gradually shrinks as time passes. The appearance of the indicator cannot be customized so that it is always clear and understandable to users.

Best practice

Use automatic closing for informational campaigns, notifications, or light prompts where you don't want to force the user to take action. For conversion campaigns (subscribe, lead-gen), we recommend a longer time or not using this feature at all to give the user enough space to respond.

The time indicator helps reduce the feeling of pressure and increases trust, as the user knows that the campaign will disappear on its own.
